CAN Converter
Signal & protocol conversion
A conversion PCB that bridges different signal types and CAN protocols on board, so equipment that would otherwise be unable to communicate can share the same network.
- Analog signal to CAN bus conversion
- CAN protocol translation, e.g. NMEA 2000 to generic CAN or vice versa
- CAN baud-rate conversion, e.g. 250 kbps to 500 kbps
Typical useBridging an NMEA 2000 network with generic CAN-based equipment; Connecting devices running at different CAN baud rates on the same vessel; Bringing analog instruments onto a CAN network without replacing them.
